Cassie Downare models the wool jacket she made during the fabric and fashion judging on Friday, July 29, 2022 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds. Downare has been participating in the textile events for 11 years. This was her final year. “I think it will be weird not doing it,” Downare said. “(I’ll miss) getting to sew with my mom every summer.”
